Abstract
This article should be read as a review article in which the forms and causes ofa number of moral problems in South Africa are discussed. The purpose of thisarticle is to provide churches with a clear definition of the forms and causes of themoral issues in modern South African society. This article also attempts to offersome assistance in this regard. The argument is approached from a Christian ethicalparadigm. In the article it is acknowledged that there are conflicting opinions withinthe broader Christian paradigm about matters such as what is to be seen as sexualmorality. One of the duties of the church is that of moral development; to achievethis, churches have to develop a thorough understanding of moral problems.
